Presentations for Parents

Many young people leave school with a developed sense of “I can’t” and “I am no good.” James Shone will share an inspirational presentation with a truly inspiring story and philosophy to help parents and teachers understand how best to respond to serious set backs, teenage anxiety and general lack of self esteem. His relevant, challenging and amusing talk takes a look at life in education today with advice on how to best navigate the challenges that might be faced.

He seeks to encourage parents and staff to recognise that education is about the whole individual and not just academic performance. His original, passionate, personal and light-hearted approach ensures that his presentations receive high praise wherever he goes by both young people and adults.

I found your talk, inspiring, encouraging, upsetting, uplifting … I think I went through every emotion and really am quite proud that I held it together. I admire your courage and relentless optimism immensely and agree with all of your points.

Pricing

Charging is discussed on a per school basis. Generally there is no charge for any schools within the state sector. Independent schools are charged £375 for one presentation, £650 for two and £800 for three or more.

Travel expenses are also charged.  However, as a charity we raise funds to enable James to visit as many schools as possible so we are always open to discussions where school budgets may not be sufficient to cover the quoted costs. Please contact us to discuss your schools’ requirements.
