I think as I write this I am preaching to myself. It is sometimes all too easy to let our yesterdays and our tomorrows dictate the way we feel today. We have just come back from Cornwall, a place that has previously been like a promised land to me and we are now selling the house. It is so easy to descend in to a gloom about things lost and this can then act as a catalyst for other things to be ushered in which can bring us down. In the same way these memories can then affect the way we feel about the future. However, we must not allow these two variables to take control. Put simply: the past has happened and the future is always uncertain and the present is a precious gift to us. So my message to us all and to myself is to live in the present and accept it as a gift.
